Stuff

I have learned a few interesting things about life. Alot of them revert back to old cliche's that I hear all the time. I takes pain to understand and appreciate life. Without contrast we do not grow. We also create our out realities. Everything that happens with us are a reaction of our thoughts. We dont realize we have real magic and can make anything good or bad happen with enough intent. Being perseptive and observing everything, learning from every experience even then simplest thing makes us able to grow and expand. With every lesson, there is a harder one that comes at us that we must dissifer. In the end each one of us has a different life, a different experience and with that life means different things to different people, it is our own relationship with god, higher source etc. Everything is relative. Nothing is different or unique just recycled. Its all an experience a ride a rollercoaster a complimentary and contrast. All end up in the same destination.

4th of July Guilt Free Tips

Alright so the 4th is coming up and I already have smelled the tinge of bbq grills and liquid smoke but really can a person have a great 4th of July or ANY BBQ for that matter that is also healthy???Here is a list of some of my favorits!Did you know that Veganase is actually pretty good and taste saprizingly similar to best foods mayonaise???? Its also the same price Nathans all beef hotdogs, though a little pricey have the BEST ingrediants so far compared to the run of the mill 6 different animal smorgasbord in our original counterparts from yesteryears.People have you read the ingredients in hotdog buns?? Yeah scary if you cant ready it dont eat it!! A nice alternative that is VERY TASTY! is and I cant find the name im searching everywere and eric threw away the bag they are at Raileys in the health section on the side of one of the isles. Ezekel also makes good ones but Raileys doesnt carry them. Ezekel also makes great hamburger buns and tortillas, I also like the brown rice breads and tortillas.(Brown/white rice bread tastes like cake when you drizzle it with honey, maple syrup or your favorite jam!Yes they even have a healthy ketsup. Its tastey and uses cleaner products. As for mustard, stone ground is good believe it or not mustard isnt to bad.Now relish is controversial. Eric is into this Blood type diet kick and according to this diet (which he does have alot of results from it and the theory is well studied) Relish sweet or not is not good for anyones blood and causes blood to aglutinate according to Dr. DAdamo. Its your call.Measts such as hamburgers beef, turkey or Richwood Meats is availible but if you can join one of the local CSA's they have a great connection with some organic meats. I have tried the ones from Rancho Piccolo (also all their fruits and veggies are awesome!!!) It was a nice clean tastey not to expensive meat.Lastly- All your fruits and veggies should come from either:Raileys produce section, they have the best so far as a retail chain in this area.Your local organic natural farmers that are on the sides of the road or better yet join Rancho Piccolo or TD Willeys for Organic fruits veggies, meats, eggs and the list goes on.In closing It would be nice to have a trader Joes or Whole foods but it is not necessary. We have some great choices out there. The ladder would be to kill all those evil people who put crap in our foods but that would have major reprocussions! Bon Appetite!

Sorry for the misspellings, I just woke up and am still drawing in the oxygen :-)

Love 13

According to folk legend 13 is actually symbolic, religious, has a great story and is actually a very lucky day. Myth, fiction and lore are a great way for the human mind to fantasized and keep us on our toes. When in times of fear, superstition, high anxiety and did I mention fear? We tend to feel like the end of the world is upon us and we are being swallowed by a sea of memories and mean people. A great holistic approach to this and the truth is right here. Let me show you.

Every time we feel fear, anxiety, a threat of dread or any other simply awful feeling just remember.... We now feel alive. It brings us to an awareness of ourselves and were we are. Its like taking a city girl and placing her in a remote mountainous island with out a cellphone...or plain without a cell phone. Servival mode kicks in and there that city girl becomes a woman who is more intuned with nature, her surroundings and discovers the homing pigeon. Without this sence of servival we would live in lala land and take advantage of the fun and happy times. This also doesnt necessarily mean that with out pain there is no pleasure. This means when things out a not so happy way we feel alive, regroup our reality and take this new conundrum like a task on a reality tv obsticle course.

With all that said, enjoy your 13th. Its a nice number.

Holistic Xchange- 1st Blog

Holistic Xchange is a unique place were individuals with knowledge, experience and passion co- exist for the betterment of mankind? How about this one... Holistic Xchange fact or fiction? 19 practitioners tons of knowledge and a whole lot of incense?
Really, Holistic Xchange was created from the idea that we all have choices in life. We also all need a balance in our life. So, Imagine a place were individuals who are passionate masters of their modality are all under one roof. East meets west kind of thing. We do not claim to cure, treat, heal, or ward off evil spirits but we do promise to listen and give you choices and guide you to healthier better you.
We are a holistic center but we do respect and accept allopathic medicine. If it were not for those doctors and nurses most of us wouldnt be alive today. Yet there are many ancient modalities and tools such as Reiki, Pranic Healing, Massage Therapy, Sound, Light, Aroma & Color therapy, yoga etc. has such profound effect on helping people heal. These therapies may be far fetched but the practitioners that practice these also have proper certifications, these practitioners fallow a strict code of ethics.
Medicine to us, is just that- Medicine.
Our goal is to bring a balance and awareness to both allopathic and alternative medicine and create a more intergrated approach to healing. We are a place were doctors and holistic healers come together to better serve our community. Giving people the control and take charge of their lives.
Medicine to us, is just that- Medicine. Wether its a pill, a song, bodywork, a thought- medicine is powerful and each modality deserves respect.

These are a few modalities that we offer:
Ayurveda, Acupuncture, Belly Dance, Chiropractic, CPR & First Aid, Drug & DNA Testing,
Ear Candling, Feldenkrais, hypnotherapy, Massage Therapy, Meditation, Nutrition & lifestyle Counseling, Pranic Healing-(treatments & CEU Workshops), Qi Gong, Reiki- (treatments & Attunments), Yoga and much more!

We are not here to replace your current regeim. We are here as a tool, to help and incorporate into your current life and give you a better quality of life!
